Terms of Service

Last updated: June 10, 2026

Agreement

By accessing or using Wall Chess, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Description of Wall Chess

Wall Chess is a browser-based strategy game of pawn movement and wall placement. Players race to the opposite side of the board while placing walls to influence paths. The service may include ranked matchmaking, private friend matches, and related features as we make them available.

Accounts

You are responsible for your account credentials and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information. Notify us via the Contact page if you suspect unauthorized access.

Usernames

Usernames must follow our technical rules at registration (length and allowed characters) and must not impersonate others, infringe rights, or contain offensive, hateful, or harassing content. We may suspend or rename accounts that violate these standards.

Fair play and multiplayer

You agree to play fairly. Do not cheat, use unauthorized automation, exploit bugs for an unfair advantage, harass other players, or attempt to disrupt the service. Online games are played according to rules enforced on the server, including:

  • Resignation ends the game and counts as a loss for the resigning player when the server records it as such.
  • Timeout — running out of time counts as a loss as determined by the server clock.
  • Disconnect — after any reconnect grace period we configure, a disconnect may be resolved as a loss or forfeit according to server-authoritative rules.

Private invites

Private match links and room codes are for inviting people you trust. Do not use them to spam, scrape, or abuse others. Invite links and rooms may expire or be cancelled by the host or by the system.

User-generated content

Your username and any information displayed in match or leaderboard UI must not violate these Terms. There is no open chat; still, you must not try to circumvent restrictions to post harmful or illegal content.

Moderation

We may suspend, terminate, or restrict accounts; remove or require changes to usernames; or refuse service to protect users, enforce these Terms, or comply with law. Our decisions may be final in cases of serious or repeated abuse.

Service availability

Wall Chess is provided "as is." We may change, limit, or discontinue features; schedules of maintenance may apply. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free play.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Wall Chess and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data or profits, arising from your use of the service. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction is to stop using Wall Chess. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the extent permitted by law.

Changes

We may update these Terms. We will post the revised Terms with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms where allowed by law.
